- Puppy Raiser: Puppy Raiser for Guide Dogs for the Blind, Inc. and
webmaster for our local puppy raising club, Leading with Love (2001 –

- Pet Therapy Volunteer: I visited a local hospital once a week
with our yellow Lab, Nixie, to visit patients in the oncology,
pediatrics and dialysis wards. (spring and summer 2003)
- Homeowners Association: volunteer member of the Board of
Directors of a homeowners association (Treasurer 2000; Vice President

Teaching Experience
- Taught General and Business English to French professionals at
beginner, intermediate and advanced levels from 1995 - 1997
- Designed and taught lessons by telephone, immersion classes and
specialized individual courses
- Assumed sole responsibility for the course syllabi, grading,
examinations and teaching of intermediate English classes of up to 40
students in the history, sociology, economics and science departments
of the Université de Marne-la-Vallée, near Paris,
